The foolery floating past me & the bumblings of my brain

Stand-up comedy junkie, geek, and closet romantic. Introspectively sexy. Flyyer than your girlfriend, fresher than your crew. 'Bougie', 'siddity', and generally okay with that. But sometimes, I just wanna do hoodrat stuff with my friends. My richness consists not in the extent of my possessions, but in the fewness of my wants. And all I want is simplicity and success. And maybe some more shoes.

First they threatened to burn his house down. Then they pinned leaflets to his front door, denouncing him as a Jewish traitor. But Eli Tzavieli, an 89-year-old Holocaust survivor, is defiant. His only “crime” is to rent out his rooms to three Arab students attending the college in Safed, a religious city in northern Israel that was until recently more famous for Jewish mysticism and Madonna.

The Holocaust survivor whose life is in danger again

Not a good look, Israel. You are going to try and bully a Holocaust survivor from sheltering the persecuted? Good luck with that one. What are you going to threaten him with?

They also took Miss Holocaust Survivor’s crown because she spoke out about Israel’s treatment of Palestine.

Are we ready to admit that this is not about protecting Jewish identity anymore since they’re hurting Jewish people

Do you think this boy had such a strong political opinion, uninfluenced from his parents?

Because his mom sure represents reality well. Is Fox News the child’s preference for media?

This video, for reasons I can’t exactly put my finger on, makes me very uncomfortable  The younger kid is funny tho “Mom, do I have to go to school today?”. Priorities, lol.

“Glitch” wipes out 1,000 early votes in black FL neighborhood

“There was a story over at NBC’s The Grio three days ago noting that at one Florida polling location, in a heavily black neighborhood, the number of people who voted early was suddenly “revised” from 2,945 to 1,942 – that’s a 34% decrease.

At first, polling officials blamed it on a “computer glitch.”  Uh huh.  And what glitch would that be?”

FUCK A GODDAMN SHIT

I’ve already reblogged this information once, but I’m doing it again. “Glitch”, you say? The voting place should be closed as quickly as possible and the computer experts/technicians should be asked to retrieve the “wiped out” information. There’s no way something disappears without a trace, unless someone REALLY tries hard. Don’t they have any back-up? What a joke. And disrespect: just imagine A THOUSAND OF PEOPLE whose vote suddenly vanished. What a disgrace.

this is fucking awful

and deliberate.

Whoopi Goldberg Confronts Ann Coulter on Race

I would also confront Coulter on race. I’m pretty sure she’s not human, that’s for sure, and someone needs to call her out on it.

*flips table*

Ann Coulter is a Dalek puppet send to make me die of high blood pressure, loss of voice, and high-dosage stupid.

The American dream is not a sprint, or even a marathon, but a relay. Our families don’t always cross the finish line in the span of one generation. But each generation passes on to the next the fruits of their labor. My grandmother never owned a house. She cleaned other people’s houses so she could afford to rent her own. But she saw her daughter become the first in her family to graduate from college. And my mother fought hard for civil rights so that instead of a mop, I could hold this microphone.

Legit tears at this. Struck so very close to home for me.
