The foolery floating past me & the bumblings of my brain

Stand-up comedy junkie, geek, and closet romantic. Introspectively sexy. Flyyer than your girlfriend, fresher than your crew. 'Bougie', 'siddity', and generally okay with that. But sometimes, I just wanna do hoodrat stuff with my friends. My richness consists not in the extent of my possessions, but in the fewness of my wants. And all I want is simplicity and success. And maybe some more shoes.

Did anyone else immediately think “You fucking Nazis!”…

mewiet:

katchin05:

… when you saw how Vera died? I kind of thought that’s where they were gonna go anyway. Either crushing or burning that bodies.

I still can’t believe that dickwad incompetent doctor killed her (and all those people) just because he thought he was going to lose his job. Did he really think no one would notice, after she obtained clearance to an obviously heavily protected, militarized facility - and she wrote the regulations for the place?

I’m so pissed about this episode! Vera was my favorite of the new cast: fun, interesting, smart, clever, and all around bamf. And a woman to boot! Of course they kill her off.

Agreed! She would’ve been such an interesting pairing with Gwen; another tough female character for her to play off of. And the jokes Jack would have made! I feel like it was done to make the eventual hookup of Rex and Esther less complicated.

If I were Steven Moffat, here’s what I’d do:

raptorific:

Work together with RTD, keeping in mind that Doctor Who takes place in the same universe as Torchwood.

Without even mentioning it on Torchwood, make it so that FutureDoctor’s death took place immediately after the Miracle, meaning that he’s still alive at the bottom of that lake. Using some technobabble (I don’t know, putting the Doctor’s remains in a bathtub full of the Flesh or something) they are able to revive the still-living Doctor at the end of the season.

This will almost certainly not happen, since Torchwood is just starting to make a name for itself as its own legitimate science fiction show, but it would allow for a Captain Jack cameo (which was written out of A Good Man Goes to War because Barrowman was filming Torchwood).
